The Origins of the Seals

The Seals themselves are ancient – though the exact date of their creation has long been forgotten. We know this much: Motiverdi, wise Keeper of Themes, in the face of great threat to the Musical Realm and all Apprentices within it, created the Seals to thwart the foes that would seek to destroy all that was beautiful and exciting in music and practice. A threat that still exists today.

He knew that unless he acted swiftly, every musical legend would be lost – for no one would remember the legends’ story or sound if no one learned how to share them in their own voice.

Why Motiverdi Created Them

Motiverdi first created these seals for his own Apprentices, to protect against foes and tricksters – the kind lying in wait to steal the focus, themes, and motivation of any young musician unfortunate enough to come across their path.

Before the Seals, Apprentices couldn’t remember if they practiced that week, where they left their sheet music, or found themselves accidentally practicing the musical traps set by Scherzini, The Goblin of Lost Measures, himself!
