Activity pages designed for students to re-print and practice for mastery.
-
Whimsical Design – Companions, guides, (and even villains to combat) help students explore music theory in a game-like format. Students receive friendly confidence boosting challenges or break curses set by foes!

This is a wonderful experiencial learning adventure great for any teacher or any musical parent who wants to teach their child. It is not only interesting and challenging but it provides serious learning in a quest based format. I mean who doesn’t love Harry Potter. The theme and it’s elements provide everything needed to know to play the instrument at this level.
What an amazing resource for string teachers! This method is so engaging and fun. Students are very motivated to figure out the quests in order to progress through the story, all while learning very important theory skills specifically related to strings. The books progress in a step by step fashion with lots of opportunities for practice and review. Students don’t even realize they are practicing because it is so much fun! The second level adds new characters alongside the familiar ones and the students cannot wait to see what comes next in the story. The fingerboard charts are a huge bonus for teaching half steps and whole steps – a very important part of string playing. I’m very impressed with this wonderful series and I know you’ll find this a very valuable resource in your strings classroom.
My students love the characters and even make up their own stories about their favorites! It gives students a nice 5 to 6 minutes activity for private lessons, and it feels like a game to them. It’s also helped them improve their sight reading and musical understanding quickly.
